Dr. Maurizio Giacomello graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis in 1995 at the University of Milan and in Medicine and Surgery in 2000 at the University of Milan-Bicocca. His degree thesis concerns the relation between stomatognathic apparatus and body posture, in particular the relationships with tension-type headache and cervicogenic headache. He has straightaway devoted his life to scientific research and clinical medicine in this field.

PhD in Experimental Periodontology in 2007 studying the variations of periodontal structures related to masticatory forces.

He works both in the oral rehabilitation (involving orthodontics, gnathology and posturology) and surgery field (oral surgery and implantology). He won several prizes for his orthodontic and periodontal studies during National University Professors Congresses. He is currently opinion leader for BTI Biotechnology Institute of Vitoria (Spain). He is also professor of Gnathology, Professor of Cranio-Facial Anatomy and Professor of Functional Anatomy of the Stomatognathic Apparatus at the School of Dentistry (Director Prof. M. Baldoni) of the University of Milan–Bicocca. He held several lectures about the relationships between body posture and dental occlusion in university masters for dentists, physicians, osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists.

He is founder and active member of ANTHEC (Academy of Non Trasfusional HemoComponents), a scientific society that studies the medical applications of Platelets concentrates and other systems of tissues regeneration: moreover he is actually the secretary of the society.

Dr. Giacomello practices his profession at GBR dental clinic in Caponago (MB-Italy) essentially treating dysfunctional problems involving TMD, gnathology and body posture as well as orthognatodontics, oral surgery, bone regeneration and implantology.

He developped the treatment for TMD and TMJ osteoarthritis by intraarticular injections of PRGF (Plasma Rich in Growth Factors).
