Purpose of the charity

The aim of Csarity follows a long clinical scientific journey lasting at least 40 years in which Dr. Frisardi Gianni dedicated himself to the study of masticatory and trigeminal neurophysiology. At the time when the experimental scientific project 'Masticatory Neurophysiology' was born, study centers and researchers were rare in the world and in particular: Prof. D van Steenberghe of the Department of Periodontology, School of Dentistry, Oral Pathology and Maxillo Facial Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium; Prof. Barry J Sessle Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Prof. Kemal Sitki Türker Research Center for Human Movement Control, Discipline of Physiology, School of Molecular and Biomedical Sciences, University of Adelaide, Australia and Prof. Frisardi Gianni, 'La Sapienza' University of Rome.

This discipline tended to explore the profound mysteries of neurophysiology in the field of differential diagnostics (Central Nervous System tumors) which presented painful symptoms and which dental colleagues mistook for Temporomandibular Disorders; look for a 'Neurophysiological Index' capable of giving indications to the colleague on the right treatment without proceeding empirically; be of support in various disciplines such as maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics and oral masticatory rehabilitation. Unfortunately these procedures were and are still considered complex and expensive both for training and for instrumentation and in an era in which the simplest and most profitable path is preferred, this science has not been widely spread and proposed to the population. In the absence of this clinical scientific support and in the face of a spread of invasive, bloody and irreversible dental treatments, patients with orofacial discomfort and pain have increased exponentially, reaching a prevalence of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMDs) of 40%. Furthermore, among TMDs, patients suffering from serious neurological pathologies (brain tumors) that take at least 20 years to manifest are lost. In this case the laboratory diagnostic support of trigeminal and masticatory neurophysiology would be able to make a differential diagnosis many years earlier, saving the patient.

Due to the complexity of the subject and the instrumental cost, this clinical scientific support was lacking in terms of diffusion and medical services, so it was necessary to find a strategy capable of transferring know-how to humanity to improve their quality of life. This objective was focused on a philanthropic social model bypassing speculative profiles.

This is the reality on which the Masticationpedia project idea was founded

The Masticationpedia project idea, therefore, was realized following the steps reported:

1. Methodology: develop an experimental methodology tested in 40 years of trigeminal and masticatory neurophysiology documented by an official Frisardi Gianni press index and patented in Italy to not allow commercial speculation

2. Charity: choose an effective, simple and tested legal model that could be of support from a clinical training and social benefit point of view through the creation of Masticationpedia affiliated operational centres. It was preferred to choose the Anglo-Saxon line of Charities now consolidated by a century of experience.
3. Web platform: the project is difficult to articulate as it is not possible to move on to the creation of the Operational Centers without first going through a phase of scientific cultural awareness through virtual telematics. Therefore, a Wikipedia-type platform called Masticationpedia has been created which citizens and colleagues can use to find the right answers for their profession and/or their health. In this model, unlike Wikipedia, it is not possible to implement by editing the encyclopedia for reasons of information security but only if selected by the Scientific Community which will obviously be increasingly numerous and detailed in its selections over time.
4. Masticationpedia Network: the professional ethical aim, once the scientific-cultural awareness phase has passed, will be the operational one where colleagues are trained and updated on the most recent and innovative neurophysiological methods and then used in Masticationpedia affiliated centres. This model is original in its essence because in exchange for a transfer of know-how, obviously paid by the learner, the colleague enters the Masticationpedia model contractually committing to dedicate himself to complex treatments (diagnostics and/or screening) as a social benefit. Obviously this commitment would be compensated by the visibility on the Masticationpedia website as there already are two in Italy, one in Roma and another in Como. This operational path would give way to the implementation of countless opportunities such as the creation of a Telemedicine Center for connected colleagues, a milling center for a very high resolution CAD/CAM product, etc.

Constitutional documents

Being registered by the Charity Commission, due to the seriousness and rigor of the Anglo-Saxon institution, is not a simple thing so having been accepted and registered means having fulfilled all the requests of the English department. Masticationpedia can be easily documented on the Chariry Commission online site where information can be extracted regarding the 'corporate object', number and names of the 'trustees' and the 'economic performance' of the first years.

Size of the charity in the last 3/5 years

Per quanto riguarda l'implementazione della Charity è come il gatto che si morde la coda perchè le difficoltà incontrate per l'apertura del conto, ovviamente, non ci ha permesso di sponsorizzare nel modo giusto il progetto Masticationpedia e soprattutto non poter richiedere un contributo statale Inglese. Comune anche se muovendo i primi passi in soli tre anni, i più difficili per far decollare un progetto, Masticationpedia ha le seguenti caratteristiche:

• Dimensioni: l'andamento economico e di conseguenza la dimensione della Charity è riassunto nel 'Financial history'della Charity Commission.
• Personale dipendente: in queste prime fasi di aggiustamento logistico si è preferito non appesantire Masticationpedia di dipendenti in quanto i volontari in tutto il mondo già contribuiscono in modo efficiente, ovviamente, solo riguardo l'aspetto editoriale della piattaforma web.
• Asset: il primo complesso lavoro eseguito in questi primi tre anni è stata Lal realizzazione della piattaforma MediaWiki di Masticationpedia oltre ad aver stretto rapporti scientifici con l'Università di Tor Vergata di Roma Dipartimento di matematica.

Supporto economico della Charity

Come detto la difficoltà nel aprire un conto corrente ha frenato l'incrementare finanziario della Charity che in questa fase si è dovuta riferire esclusivamente a PayPal che purtroppo non avendo un c/c ufficiale non permette la richiesta di finanziamenti pubblicati, donazione attraverso Transnational Giving Europe che permetterebbe la deduzione delle donazioni da tutti i Paesi EU.L'iter di eventuali emolumenti potrebbe essere del seguente tipo in funzione dell'evoluzione del progetto masticationpedia comprendendo anche la fase finale della realizzazione dei Centri Operativi e dell'affiliazione:

• Metodo di incasso delle donazioni attraverso PayPal e C/C Bancario per bonifici da pubblicità sul sito e sponsorizzazioni
• Ricavi dalla fruizione dei corsi di formazione online
• Riconoscimento economico per il marchio Masticationpedia nell'eventuale organizzazione di Corsi Residenziali pratici dagli affiliati
• Ricavi da servizi di formazione da parte dei discenti medici ed odontoiatri od eventuali disponibilità di Centri di fresatura a pagamento da parte degli affiliati

Strategie di implementazione

La fase di costituzione Charity, realizzazione piattaforma MediaWiki, il mantenimento della struttura è costato impegno e sacrifici economici derivanti esclusivamente dal gruppo dei soci fondatore anche se per le difficoltà logistiche alcuni di loro come Luca Fonatna, Luigi Filippetta non si è riusciti a caricarli nella piattaforma online della Charity Commission. Le strategie di implementazione, ovviamente, saranno calibrate a secondo della logica costruttiva e cioè:

1. Visibilità: nonostante grazie all'immagine di prestigio scientifico trasmessa da Masticationpedia che ci ha permesso di ottenere l'accreditamenti con Google no profit il quale ci consentirebbe di usufruire un budget di €10.000,00 mese di pubblicità Google gratis, non si è ancora riusciti a sfruttare l'opportunità per la impossibilità di dare mandato ad Webagency del costo di circa € 10.000,00 anno
2. Programmi in corso: l'anima di masticationpedia è sostanzialmente l'aspetto scientifico per cui è essenziale investire su ricerca e sperimentazione. In questa fase della compilazione dei capitoli si sta presentando un aspetto innovativo che riguarda la diagnostica seguendo un profilo statistico quantistico che richiede il supporto di fisici e matematici e softwaristi per poter implementare programmi con computer quantistici di IBM odi Amazon ( AWS). Questo prevede un costo di almeno €50.000,00
3. Centro di formazione: la realizzazione necessaria di un Centro di formazione chiamato Masticationpedia Education Center a Roma dove sono presenti gran parte degli scienziati, ricercatori e clinici che hanno dato volto al progetto e che potrebbero seguire gli affiliati. Ovviamente una volta inizializzato l'aspetto formativo nel Education Center ci sarà modo di realizzarne altri secondari in vari paesi del mondo. Questa fase costerebbe almeno €100.000,00. Il Centro di Formazione sarebbe costituito da una serie di iniziative quali:
   • Ambulatorio Odontoiatrico: n ambulatorio odontoiatrico a norma per eseguire cure su ci i discenti possano praticamente apprendere le metodiche innovative neurofisiologiche ( non si potrebbero trattare i pazienti se non autorizzati dalla Regione e/o Comune).
   • Parcheggio: un garage per ospitare pazienti e corsisti
   • Alloggi: locali per vitto ed alloggio nel periodo dei corsi di formazione

Tutto in un sola location per rendere piacevole il soggiorno, sgombra la mente di problematiche urbanistiche ( traffico, parcheggio, hotel ecc.) e concentrata sulla formazione senza distrazioni.

Riteniamo che il primus movens per questa straordinaria avventura scientifico sociale sia l'apertura di un conto corrente bancario Inglese altrimenti tutto rimarrà un gran bel sogno irrealizzabile.
